About the Flow Game

The Flow Game is a powerful tool for creating an interactive reflection, dialogue, and action space for groups, teams, and individuals. Playing a game is a simple way to ground, strengthen, and bring clarity and flow to human beings, weaving together ancient practice and a spark of joy and innovation.

The Flow Game is a way to find clarity together – from questions that make your heart tremble, to visionary quests within your team or project.

The game, which can be played both online and on-site, in groups of 2 to 200+ people, is known to create supportive, challenging, and unique opportunities to explore the core of a question that matters in an intuitive and insightful way. We invite you to play it if you have an important personal or collective question to explore! Learn more about the flow of a game here.

Beyond this, it is important to understand that the Flow Game is not only a board game, but a hosted practice. You cannot simply buy a Flow Game or find the questions online, as we highly value the integrity of this human-paced method. We are proud to rely on over 500 trained Flow Game Hosts to facilitate the game for you, tailored to your particular context! Our field spans six continents and 30 countries to meet you where you are and support you with your most important questions.

Our governance is designed in a way that reflects our practice, ensuring the magic in the middle is well-stewarded and accessible to everyone with a heartfelt curiosity to bring the Flow Game to the world. Learn a little more about those who take care of the game around the world below: the Flow Game Hub, the Flow Game Stewards, and the Flow Game Hosts.

The Flow Game Hosts

The Hosts serve by organising and hosting Flow Games for individuals, teams, families – whoever asks sincerely to play a Flow Game around an important question. Flow Game Hosts support the game by creating an environment where learning, reflection, connection, and the magic in the middle emerge naturally and playfully, adapted to the context. The Flow Game Hub

As the network of Flow Game practitioners has grown, there has been an increased need to tend to the long-term vision, development, quality, and governance of the Flow Game.

For that purpose, The Flow Game Hub AISBL, an international non-profit organisation based in Brussels, Belgium, was established in 2022. It is a container for the ownership, rights, and governance of the Flow Game in the long term. The Hub provides thoughtful governance, leadership, and oversight while supporting a global community of practitioners and fostering evolution through the practice itself. The Hub works to ensure the Flow Game remains accessible and is always offered as a consciously human-hosted process rather than a commercial product. Its activities include maintaining quality standards for materials and host training, supporting practitioners and communities of practice, coordinating people and projects, managing communications and events, conducting research, representing the organisation externally, and overseeing the day-to-day administration and operations that sustain the Flow Game worldwide.

The purpose of the Flow Game Hub is to steward the integrity of the Flow Game and ensure accessibility of the practice across socio-economic realities.

The Members of the association form the formal governance body of the Flow Game Hub AISBL. Current Members are Toke Paludan Møller, Monica Nissen, Jan Hein Nielsen, Rowan Simonsen, Mary Alice Arthur, and Sophie Charrois.

At the annual General Assembly, the Members elect the people they trust to serve in the circle of Trustees (the association’s legally appointed directors) for a term of at least three years. This circle serves by stewarding and overseeing the ongoing work of the Flow Game Hub, including its development, operations, finances, and activities in service of the wider Flow Game community. Current Trustees are Monica Nissen, Jan Hein Nielsen, Amanda Zamparo Franco, Mary Alice Arthur, and Sophie Charrois.

The Flow Game Hub is organised as a non-profit organisation, and we depend on donations from within our community and beyond. If you would like to support the long-term evolution of the Flow Game and its community of Hosts, you are invited to make a donation below.
